What We Do

MARCELL SOLOMON & ASSOCIATES, P.C. is a general practice law firm specializing in general corporate and real estate matters as well as in complex civil and criminal litigation.  The Firm was founded by Marcell Solomon, Esq. who was associated for many years with a prominent national law firm.  The founding attorney has broad experience in handling large commercial transactions.  The Firm’s attorney also has extensive experience in pre-litigation counseling and investigation, in pre-trial discovery, and in trials and appellate practice.

The Firm represents corporate, government and individual clients.  The Firm currently represents Amherst Pierpont Securities LLC; Barclays Capital, Inc.; BNP Paribus Securities Corp.; Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.; Citigroup Global Markets Inc.; Credit Suisse First Boston Corp.; Goldman, Sachs & Co.; Jefferies LLC: J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.; Mizuho Securities USA Inc.; Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated; Nomura Securities International, Inc.; RBC Capital Markets, LLC; RBS Securities Inc.; and Wells Fargo as co-Trust Counsel in connection with the sale of guaranteed REMIC pass-through securities pursuant to the GNMA REMIC Program for first lien, single-family, fixed residential mortgage loans.

The Firm has represented Prince George’s County, Maryland as bond counsel on various municipal financing transactions.  The Firm has represented United Healthcare of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc. as well as several professional athletes in various litigation matters.

Further, the Firm represented the Resolution Trust Corporation in connection with the issuance and sale of Commercial Mortgage Pass-Through Certificates.  Our responsibilities included the preparation or editing of a prospectus and prospectus supplement, a pooling and servicing agreement, collateral security agreement, a guarantee agreement, and various other documents.  Further, we have represented the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in litigation matters, involving breach of contract, foreclosure and fraud.
